Don't Overeat In The Holidays, Eat Naturally
The most wonderful thing about “Natural Eating” is its simplicity. You don’t have to buy special ingredients, watch what you eat, deprive yourself or anything else which is out of your own control.

We Diet Because We Don't Trust Ourselves
I believe the reason we turn to diets to lose weight, is that we don’t trust ourselves to make the necessary changes on our own. The trouble with diets is that they are completely unnatural and not what our body wants and needs.

Overweight People Eat Fewer Meals Than Others!
What tends to happen is that many overweight people eat infrequently or irregularly. In general it may be three times a day or as little as once or twice. I can see why people think this would be beneficial because surely if you’re not eating very often you must be eating less food and therefore you should lose any excess weight.

How do we know when we are hungry?
Time and time again when I talk about eating when we are hungry I get told, “I never have hunger pangs”, or “I don’t even know when I’m hungry”. Unfortunately we will never learn to eat naturally if we don’t know when we are hungry.

Why Is Our Meal Often Not Enough?
The principles of Natural Eating allow us to eat what we want, when we want. But often no matter how delicious the meal is and how satisfied we are, we still feel like we want something else.

Eating Will Never Satisfy You If You're Not Hungry
So many of us eat for comfort, to block out things we don’t want to think about or to make us feel better in the moment. But if we continue to eat when food is not what we need at the time, then we will never be satisfied.

You Can Overcome Food Issues Forever
Learning how to eat “naturally” enables you to be at peace with food. It is no longer the first thing you think about in the morning or the last thing you worry about at night. The four common-sense principles enable you to put eating into perspective so it’s simply another part of your day.

No Pain No Gain - What Absolute Rubbish!
Of course, you can’t achieve anything worthwhile without hard work and determination, but it shouldn’t be negative and degrading. Diets teach you how to use will power to deprive or starve yourself, go without your favourite foods, beat yourself up or feel guilty for wanting to enjoy something delicious. That’s exactly why they don’t work long-term.

Be At Peace With Food - Eat Naturally
From my perspective food should simply be another part of our day. We have to eat every day and it should be enjoyable, but we shouldn’t be thinking or worrying about it when we are not hungry. Just like showering, when it’s time to shower, we have one. When it is time to brush our teeth, we brush them.

How I Learnt To Eat Naturally
Isn’t it interesting that when you are going through an illness such as Bulimia, you feel you are all alone and no one else can possibly know what you are going through? However as soon as you open up and ask for help you will be surprised at just how many people have had similar issues to yourself.

Turning Negative Eating Habits into Positive Ones
Natural Eating is all about listening to your body so you can give it what it needs when it needs it. It is a way of eating which enables you to react to your body’s signals rather than simply eating out of habit.

Don't overeat simply because the food is offered!
How many times do we over eat simply because someone offers us food? We are not necessarily hungry or even like the food, but we don’t want to be rude or offend them, so we will accept the food anyway.

Why Can't We Lose Weight, It Is Just Common Sense!
With the countless number of diet and weight loss programmes available, the general idea is always the same, "eat less and exercise more!" This makes absolute sense. Simply eat fewer calories and burn more off and the excess weight will disappear. So why doesn’t it work?

We Have To Eat Every Day - Why Not Enjoy It?
I believe a lot of us don’t enjoy eating anymore. It has become something we have to do, and because there is so much angst attached to it, we simply eat to get it done. We no longer actually enjoy it.

Don't Worry About Missing Out!
I have come to realise that a lot of people over-eat because they are scared of missing out. Often this is the result of being in a large family and if you didn’t grab lots of food straight away there would be nothing left if you wanted anything later.

If you're allowed to eat later, you will stop now!
I believe we over-eat because we do not allow ourselves to eat what we really want to eat, when we want to. We often eat what we believe we should, but not actually what our body wants and needs.

Stop Trying to be Good - Eat when you want!
We shouldn’t have to be “good” around food. Food is not good or bad. There are so many types of food available, some are obviously better for us than others, but it doesn’t mean that we are “bad” if we choose an unhealthy option.
